Platycerium andinum is the only Platycerium species native to tropical South America. It develops soft, elegant fronds densely covered with fine stellate hairs, creating its distinctive silvery-white, almost snow-dusted appearance. Mature fertile fronds grow long and gracefully branch toward the tips.

Light — bright, indirect light. Avoid harsh direct sun on the fronds.
Water — soak the mount thoroughly, then let it dry until light before watering again. Frequency depends on your humidity and airflow.
Humidity & air — staghorns thrive in 50–70% humidity with gentle air movement. Keep an eye on the growth point and never let it sit wet.
